Two

Breton stripes, nauticals, prints, denim on denim... This collection had all the ticks on the current trends checklist - very commercially viable, one I define as the "cashcow" collection from SAFW.

- The trick I noted with Denim on Denim, in this case, was that the denims were identical to T! and that's what made the look work - a complete and utter mismatch also works (grey fading jeans with pale washed out denim jacket being my favourite)... so do right!

- The lace leotards (underwear as outerwear trend) also got a mention - yes we've seen it before - and received a DeGorge kick with this scarf/collar (which looks rather familiar.... did someone say David Tlale?). Overall, the layout of this look is exciting but not unique or freche.

- These printed pants (above in the middle) were my favourite! They look like lop-sided harem pants with interesting design features and fabric pattern which create an overall wonderful haze (albeit trance inducing)

-Dislikes: "Stripes is the new stripes" prints all over the dresses. Cheapens the look!
Another concern is whether, as this is the winter collection, the trends will seep into winter 2011 or not. I certainly hope this collection is readily available to avoid it going to waste (and that's the danger in running current trends for the next season)
