Klük CGDT: African Angels

Came across this interview, a month later (better than never if you ask me), and I hope you get the chance to read it. I absolutley love it!

It is a great follow-up of the chat I had with Malcolm before he and Christian left to showcase in Paris (read here).
He touches on basics of business and the false impression that many designers have about showing internationally.
Read the Interview, conducted by Lucilla Booyzen (SA Fashion Week convener): Interview with Malcolm Klük
OMG - so I guess they opted for the familiar number he mentioned in the chat I had with him (it was a toss up between this one and another garment he was not too sure about for this particular collection)... it's the stunning number just to the right of Malcolm (that would be your left darl!) - remember it from Arise Africa Fashion Week? Later worn by Lindiwe Suttle at the Arise Africa Fashion Awards

Looks like a modern day twist to a Roman gods' robes (don't you think?) - the voluminous draping on the arm. DeGorge to the max!!

Can't wait to see their show at AFW. For the first time, I'm actually very excited about AFW. I don't know about you but last year I just didn't have much excitement about it. Well done to AFI, I say! Looking at the schedule, I think we're in for a world class fashion week. Awesome!

They did quite well and the line-up is impressive.

I saw your write-up on LaQuan - also very excited about that show. With backing from ALT and ilk, he's bound to blow us away - aged 21 (HAH!).

And with the WAGs in town... shoo! it's going to be exciting - and hopefully successful for some of our designers! there's no better exposure for them than this!

Last year's shows were a bit hectic! 9 days of fashion was it? but this year's shows look better planned (with no soccer recesses).

see you there.
